The Harper Building is home to UAF's Interior ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Campus, which serves communities and villages in the Doyon region and Interior ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ. Courses are offered through the Interior ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Campus by audio conferencing and the internet. On-site classes in villages are administered through rural educational centers.
The building is named after Flora Jane Harper, who in 1935 became the first ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Native woman to graduate from the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Agricultural College and School of Mines.
Access is off Fairbanks Street and Draanjik Drive. The Geist Road entrance was closed in 2018.
