Southeast ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ landslide

Tsunami-causing slide was largest in decade, earthquake center finds

Sunday's massive tsunami-causing landslide in Southeast ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ likely sent more than 100 million cubic meters of debris into an icy fjord and onto a prominent glacier in one of the largest slides in at least 10 years, according to analysis by the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Earthquake Center. 2025 ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Sea Grant State Fellows announced

Eleven new ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Sea Grant State Fellows are preparing to start work at the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Fisheries Development Foundation, ADF&G, ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Mariculture Alliance, NOAA, Central Council Tlingit and Haida Indian Tribes of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ, and ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Sea Grant. New Faculty Orientation

Nome was a hot place to be in early July. The temperature was 20 degrees above normal at one point during that period, according to the monthly summary of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Climate Research Center.
