Congressional funding cuts result in major KUAC programming changes

KUAC TV/FM will reduce service and make significant programming changes as a result of the loss of $1.2 million in federal funding, or more than one-third of the station's overall annual budget. The changes will take effect on Sept. 8, 2025. Learn more about the programming changes.

In the 2025-26 academic year, UAF's Rasmuson Library and Center for Teaching and Learning are facilitating a common reading group with a focus on Brookfield's landmark text. Learn the basics of raising chickens in hands-on workshops

Raising chickens doesn't require a lot of space, just the right information. Jim Vinyard, livestock nutritionist at the Matanuska Experiment Farm and Extension Center in Palmer, will hold three in-person workshops over the next month to discuss how to start and care for a healthy coop.
