Arctic Leadership Lecture series: Interim Chancellor Mike Sfraga

Join Interim Chancellor Mike Sfraga on Aug. 28 from 5:30-7 p.m. as he opens the fall Arctic Leadership Lecture Series with reflections on leadership, values, and the university’s role in Arctic partnerships and policy. Drawing on his career in higher education, federal policy, and Arctic diplomacy, Sfraga will explore the state of the Arctic and UAF’s place in the wider northern conversation. University to conclude partnership with Gardner Institute

Circumpolar Music Series: Craig Coray

The Circumpolar Music Series kicks off its 2025–26 season in partnership with the Music and More Concert Series at 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 30. Researcher to discuss sea otter impact on mariculture

Learn about sea otter activity and interactions with mariculture operations in a free statewide webinar hosted by the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service. Emily Reynolds, an ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Sea Grant state fellow with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, will share her insights on the foraging behavior, habitat use and potential impacts of sea otters in aquaculture and mariculture settings.
