Webinar: How plants can reduce stress, improve well-being

Join Stacey Shriner, education director with the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Botanical Garden, to learn more about therapeutic horticulture and how plants can help individuals meet their social, physical and mental health goals. UAF names spring 2025 honors students

The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Fairbanks has announced the students named to the deans' and chancellor's lists for the spring 2025 semester. The lists recognize students' outstanding academic achievements.


Call for Proposals: URSA CEL Awards

Undergraduate students, graduate students, researcher staff, postdoctoral fellows and faculty from all UAF-affiliated campuses are invited to apply for an URSA Community-Engaged Learning Award of up to $5,000. Read more and apply by the Sept. 7 deadline.

Analysis of bowhead whale poop shows that more toxins from typically warm-water toxic algae species are entering Arctic food webs as northern oceans warm and lose sea ice. Read more about the research.

June began cool and wet but rapidly changed to hot and dry at the midpoint, with wildfires bursting out across the state, according to the monthly summary from the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Climate Research Center. Read more from the report.
