Juneau: Exercise programs to strengthen bones, balance offered

The University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service in Juneau is offering two exercise programs to help increase bone density. IANRE launches seminar series on Arctic food systems

The Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension at the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Fairbanks is launching a monthly seminar series to spark conversation, collaboration and innovation around northern food systems. Read more and register.


Three-day writing retreat for graduate students

The UAF Graduate School is organizing a three-day writing retreatÌý specifically for Ph.D. and master's students from Nov. 5-7 in the Student Success Center. This retreat is aimed at students who have completed their coursework and are currently engaged in dissertation or thesis writing; however, students working on other academic writing projects are also welcome to attend. Copper Lane house demolition

Crews will work on demolishing the last remaining house on Copper Lane. The University Fire Department will train in the facility for a few days, and when they are complete, the demolition contractor will demo the building and remove the debris from campus.
