The 2020 ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Food Festival and Conference will take place virtually on Nov. 6-7.

The Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension is a co-sponsor and Cooperative Extension is a planning partner for the fifth semiannual conference, which is hosted by the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Food Policy Council. The council is a nonprofit whose goal is to create a healthier, more secure and more self-reliant ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ by improving our food system.

The two main themes for the conference are food entrepreneurship and rural and Indigenous food systems. The program includes presentations on food systems in ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ, food security/insecurity, traditional foods, farmers markets, agriculture in ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ, fisheries, food policy, food waste reduction and more.
