�Ӱ�ԭ��ns invited to 'purple up' on April 21

April is Month of the Military Child, and �Ӱ�ԭ��ns are asked to “purple up” on April 21 to honor military youth.

Candi Dierenfield, the �Ӱ�ԭ�� 4-H Military Partnerships program director, said wearing purple is a visible way to show support and thank military children for their strength and sacrifices. Purple is the color that symbolizes all branches of the military.

�Ӱ�ԭ�� 4-H and the �Ӱ�ԭ�� Forget-Me-Not Coalition of Service Members, Veterans and Families will host �Ӱ�ԭ��’s fifth annual Purple Up! For Military Kids. Military support activities are planned at several �Ӱ�ԭ�� schools this week. Events will include military T-shirt day, camouflage day, and military child and parent lunches.

“We hope everyone will take this opportunity to appreciate and celebrate these young heroes,” Dierenfield said.
