Reflecting on the effects of ANCSA

Two days of lectures and panel discussions about the effects of the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Native Claims Settlement Act on ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ are scheduled 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 5 – 6,  in the Wood Center Carol Brown Ballroom.

The panels and lectures will feature guests from across ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ addressing issues from the economic, environmental, social, cultural, and educational impact of ANCSA in the 40 years since its 1971 passage. They will also address the impacts on ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Native culture, education, and leadership. Speakers will include ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Native leaders, former
 state and U.S. senators, and members of the 
Fairbanks Chamber of Commerce.
