Chancellor Dana Thomas commemorates UAF's 100th anniversary May 3 in Centennial Square. On the same date in 1917, Territorial Gov. John Strong signed the bill to create the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Agricultural College and School of Mines, precursor to the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ and UAF.
