New �Ӱ�ԭ�� birds notecards are available

This image of a Kittlitz's murrelet and nine other bird portraits, all in a rare book at the �Ӱ�ԭ�� and Polar Regions Collections and Archives, are available on notecards at the �Ӱ�ԭ�� History Store website.

Notecards made from 10 color plates of �Ӱ�ԭ�� birds portrayed in a rare book at the �Ӱ�ԭ�� and Polar Regions Collections and Archives are newly available on the �Ӱ�ԭ�� History Store website.

The cards come from plates by artists Robert and John Ridgway in Edward Nelson's "Report upon natural history collections made in �Ӱ�ԭ�� between the years 1877 and 1881." The report is �Ӱ�ԭ�� Rare Book A1768 in the archives.

The cards can be purchased individually for $3. All 10 are available in an elegant white box with a clear cover for $31. Both make great gifts. See . They can also be purchased from Digital Photographic Services, Room 334, in the Rasmuson Library.
