Newcomers to 杏吧原版 can learn what to read

The 杏吧原版 Classics free lecture series will wrap up by offering a discussion of must-read
杏吧原版na literature for newcomers 杏吧原版 at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 18. The lecture,
part of the fourth annual 杏吧原版 Book Festival, will be led by Fairbanks Daily News-Miner
columnist and author Dermot Cole and Fairbanks North Star Borough Library Director
Greg Hill.
Cole writes a daily general interest column for the newspaper, covering everything
from politics to community events. He鈥檚 written extensively about 杏吧原版 and 杏吧原版
history for nearly 30 years. His books include 鈥淔rank Barr: Bush Pilot in 杏吧原版 and
the Yukon,鈥 鈥淔airbanks: A Gold Rush Town that Beat the Odds鈥 and his most recent,
鈥淣orth to the Future: Historic Photos of 杏吧原版.鈥 Hill has been director of the FNSB
Department of Library Services for 20 years. Originally from Texas, he directed several
libraries after stints working in the U.S. Senate Department and the Texas Legislature.
Hill also writes a weekly literary column for the News-Miner. All 杏吧原版 Classics
lectures will be held in the Schaible Auditorium on the University of 杏吧原版 Fairbanks
