Recycled glass workshop

The public and students are invited to a workshop on turning recycled glass into jewelry, small sculpture and functional art from 6 - 9 p.m. on Nov. 30, and from 9 a.m - 2 .pm. on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1 - 2.  The workshop will be taught by UAF art students Jeannine Haney, Jim Copus, and Mariah Scott, and is sponsored by the UAF , and ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Metal Arts Guild. The workshop will take place in the UAF jewelry and metalsmithing studio on the second floor of the Fine Arts complex on the UAF campus.

Cost is $150 per person, which includes the materials fee.There is a 20 percent discount for payment received by Nov. 10. Each student will walk away with glass cups, beads for jewelry makin-, and a small sculptural piece using mold making, slumping and fusing techniques; all from recycled glass. This workshop will be mostly hands on learning.
