Unmanned aircraft information offered at meeting

The public can learn about unmanned aircraft missions in ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Murie Building auditorium at the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Fairbanks.

Officials and representatives from the Federal Aviation Administration and the Pan-Pacific Unmanned Aerial Systems Test Range Complex will attend the meeting. They will discuss the test site's work and UAF's role in a new FAA Center of Excellence. They'll also review the FAA's proposed rules for use of unmanned aircraft.

The event is hosted by the ÐÓ°ÉÔ­°æ Center for Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration, part of the UAF Geophysical Institute. It will be webstreamed at .
