Bats, such as this little brown bat, Myotis lucifugus, are widespread in ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ.

An ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ wildlife biologist will lead a free lunch-and-learn webinar on bats in ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ hosted by the University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service.

Arin Underwood, who works with the Threatened, Endangered and Diversity Program with the ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Department of Fish and Game, will discuss ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ’s tiny flying mammals, how they survive the winter and what to do if you find one. Underwood conducts research and outreach on boreal birds and small mammals.

The webinar is from noon-1 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 22.
