Limited submission funding opportunity for National Forest Foundation program

The Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research is soliciting white papers for the National Forest Foundation’s Collaborative Capacity Program financial awards call for proposals. NFF will only accept one CCP application per organization in 2025. White papers are due July 15.

The National Forest Foundation’s Collaborative Capacity Program financial awards provide resources to support collaborative activities that increase wildfire resilience, recreation opportunities, forest health, and rural economies. Eligible efforts must describe how investments in collaboration will support a long-term strategy for achieving stewardship outcomes and how these outcomes benefit National Forest System lands. NFF will only accept one CCP application per organization in 2025. This limit includes both Mini Grant and Standard Grant Pathways for a total of one CCP 2025 application per organization, regardless of Pathway.

Anticipated Funding Amount:

  • Mini Grants: Up to $10,000
  • Standard Grants: $10,001-$75,000
  • Limit on Number of Proposals per Organization: 1
  • Letters of Intent: Not Required
  • Preliminary Proposals: Not Required

  • July 15, 2025, 5 p.m. AKST: White paper submission for UAF-wide competition. White papers must be received by 5 p.m. on or before the internal submission deadline. White papers should be submitted through the .
  • July 22, 2025: Based on recommendations from the internal review, the VCR will notify the selected PIs.
  • July 22, 2025 5 p.m. AKST: Full Proposal is due to OGCA.
  • July 25, 2025 11:59 p.m. AKST: Full Proposal is due National Forest Foundation.
