Happy fall! We hope you are finding community and settling into a routine. Nanook Nation is committed to the health and well-being of all of our community members. In an effort to promote campus safety and awareness of rights and responsibilities, the university requires all students, employees, and volunteers to complete the annual UA Safe Title IX Training. We appreciate you doing your part to keep UAF safe.
The required annual must be completed by Oct. 31, 2025.
UAF students, employees, and volunteers must complete the UA Safe Title IX Training in Canvas. The training will take approximately one hour to complete. If needed, you may start and stop at any point and your progress will be saved. If you are experiencing technical difficulties, please contact Nanook Technology Services at helpdesk@alaska.edu or 907-450-8300. Updates to UAF Required Training Policy
In February 2025, the UAF Required Training Policy (UAF Policy 04.07.010) was updated to reaffirm training expectations for all UAF employees. The UA Safe Title IX Training is classified as a Tier 1 training under this policy, meaning that it is required for all employees, including student employees. The policy also outlines the responsibility of supervisors to ensure that their employees have fulfilled their training requirements, as well as the expected consequences for non-compliance. UAF is committed to providing our employees with the knowledge and training necessary to support and serve Nanook Nation.
