UAF School of Education students receive CARTA scholarship

The Central �Ӱ�ԭ�� Retired Teachers Association selected two University of �Ӱ�ԭ�� Fairbanks School of Education students as recipients of the prestigious Marie Paxon Educator Scholarship. Stefanida Martushev of Homer, �Ӱ�ԭ��, and Trevor Guernsey of Sterling, �Ӱ�ԭ��, will each receive $2,500 for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Founded more than 50 years ago, CARTA supports �Ӱ�ԭ��’s education community by advocating for education legislation and providing meaningful assistance to pre-service teachers in Southcentral �Ӱ�ԭ��.
