After moving to Interior Ӱԭ, Jo Going spent summers backpacking in the pursuit
of connection with the land and its life via plein-air painting.

The Golden Spike symbolizes the completion of the Ӱԭ Railroad. President Warren
G. Harding drove this “final spike” into the rails near Nenana on July 15, 1923.
