Nanook VetServe

Healthy Animals. Healthy Communities.

What is NVS
Nanook VetServe (NVS) is a University of ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ Fairbanks initiative that supports veterinary students as they serve rural and underserved communities across ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ. Through supervised service opportunities with trusted partner organizations, students gain hands on experience while learning the value of service as a core part of their professional identity.

Ways to Give
Nanook VetServe is a donation based outreach program. Donations support NVS students' travel and experiences working in rural ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ. There's many ways you can help such as sponsoring a student's service experience, supporting the Nanook VetServe Student Support Fund, make a tribute or honorary gift, or contribute toward a long-term endowment.

If you are interested in supporting our students, please contact Gregory Pietsch at gpietsch@alaska.edu. We greatly appreciate your generosity and dedication to our students and supporting veterinary care access in underserved and/or rural communities in ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ.

We can't do what we do without our partnerships. Our partners facilitate the trips we take to rural ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æn communities. All of our partners have long standing relationships with communities across ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ and not only manage the logistics of outreach trips but provide clinical supervision as well.
