Pause in paper, cardboard and plastic recycling

The UAF Recycling team normally collects paper, plastic, aluminum and cardboard. Due to a temporary closure of the borough's Central Recycling Facility, the team will begin picking up these materials up again when the CRF has re-opened.

988: Three-digit dialing code for Suicide and Crisis Lifeline goes live Saturday

On July 16, 2022, callers can dial 988 to connect to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline’s (the Lifeline) network of highly trained call center professionals. Those in ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ who dial from a 907 area code will connect to Careline ÐÓ°ÉÔ°æ, where trained crisis counselors can provide confidential support 24 hours, 7 days a week.
